Healing Leaky Gut

Although many people are not aware of it, most people that are living in the Western world have a compromised gut and do not even know it. In fact, most people do not even know what leaky gut is, or that they may have a problem with their gut flora. If you have never heard of this before, leaky gut is essentially where particles from the food you eat each day are not processed fully in the stomach and end up getting passed through the stomach walls. When this happens, the foreign particles enter the blood stream, which leads the body to attack them. This causes all sorts of problems with the body, causing just about every single problem that affects most people. For instance, if you have skin problems, rashes, psoriasis, dermatitis, or any other type of skin condition, there is a very good chance that it is not genetics and is simply a result of your leaky gut. If you have anxiety, depression, or any other type of mental disorder, there is a very good chance that the root cause is a leaky gut. In fact, most diseases start in the stomach and are a direct result of having a leaky gut.

There are all sorts of things that cause a leaky gut, but the good news is there is a ton of things that anyone can do to heal their gut. The worst offender, without a doubt, is antibiotics. Your stomach has millions of living organisms called probiotics, and when you take antibiotics, they basically kill all of the good organisms that are in your stomach and in your body. In order to be healthy, it is essential that you have a good balance of probiotics in your gut. If not, you can easily develop problems, which may go unfixed for your entire life. If you have ever taken antibiotics, you probably have a leaky gut, at least to some degree.

Fixing a leaky gut, and the gut flora that is in your stomach, involves eating the right foods and supplementing your body with probiotics, which you can either take in the form of a pill, or by eating a ton of foods that provide natural probiotics. Fermented vegetables, kefir, yogurt that contains probiotics, sourdough bread, and various other foods are great for the gut. The next best thing you can do is eliminate all processed foods from your diet, which literally wreak havoc on your body and on your gut. Eating fresh vegetables, is great, but the best thing you can probably do for your body and for your gut besides taking probiotics is by juicing vegetables and fruits each and every day, and drinking it on an empty stomach.
